The Philadelphia Eagles and Kansas City Chiefs will meet in Super Bowl LVII on February 12, giving us a clearer picture of who could be the game’s Most Valuable Player (MVP). Each team has multiple players that stand out and have put forth MVP-like performances throughout the regular season.
The Chiefs have a strong group of offensive weapons led by quarterback Patrick Mahomes. His ability to make plays with his arm or legs puts the Chiefs in a prime position to win the Super Bowl LVII.
On the other side, Jalen Hurtz has been putting together an impressive season for the Eagles, showing he can make all of throws necessary to lead his team to victory.

At 24 years old, the Eagles quarterback is having a dream season from the time he was selected in the draft to being the NFC champion.
“My first year here [people] probably didn’t even want me [drafted] here. It was probably one of those things. But, it always works out,” he said after Philadelphia’s 31-7 win over the San Francisco 49ers in the NFC Championship Game.
“It came as a big surprise to many.
My favorite [Bible] verse, I went through a lot in college, and it stuck with me, John 13:7: ‘What I do, you don’t understand now, but you will understand later.’ I hope people understand.”
And it is that nobody expected Hurtz to make a name for himself so soon, with the Eagles drafting them in the overall No.53 position, what they were looking for was a solid reserve that would cover Carson Wentz, to whom the team had offered a contract extension for four years and 128 million dollars about 10 months before. But Wentz was underperforming in 2020 and was benched in favor of Hurts for the last four games of that season.
Wentz would end up leaving after his relationship with the team eroded.
Hurts led the Eagles to the playoffs in his first year as a full-time starter in 2021 and followed that up with an MVP-caliber campaign this year, helping Philadelphia to a 14-3 regular season and, now, a spot in Super Bowl LVII.
“I really don’t know how to feel, to be honest,” he stated. “You work hard to put yourself in this position, and I’m forever grateful.
Only God knows what each individual on this team overcame so that we could come together as a team and do something special as a group.
That’s the most significant thing. I always want to get out there.” and do my best no matter what happens because I don’t want to let the guy next to me down, that makes us work harder.
“I know I’ve been through a lot, personally, but I don’t want to get too far away from how good this team has been at playing together, staying together, and challenging each other.
When we experience some painful times and some difficult times, we always find a way to get through it. You want to get into a situation like that, and we have a chance to go out there and win it all, so we’re going to prepare to do that.”
Patrick Mahomes: +120
Mahomes’ last two playoff showings have been sensational against Jacksonville and Cincinnati. Any fan, even casual, of the NFL will have realized the quality that he has since he has been playing with an injury that causes him a lot of pain.
In fact, he played the games against the Jaguars and Bengals on one foot and this did not diminish his performance in the slightest. on the contrary, it seems that he rather strengthened it.
Mahomes combines quality, character, and now enough flight hours for the game in his mind to happen more slowly. He thinks and runs at a different speed.
