This 2022, there are still only 2 Formula 1 GPs left where the racers of this sport will face each other. The first one will be held in Brazil on November 13 at Interlagos and the second one will be held in Abu Dhabi on November 20 at Yas Marina. These are the last chances to see these amazing drivers in action before the big change that is coming to Formula 1 next year. So don’t miss out and make sure to watch these races!

You might think that Formula 1 doesn’t have much to offer since Verstappen was crowned undisputed champion for the second year in a row a couple of races ago. However, there is still plenty of excitement to be had in this year’s season.

Who is winning in F1?

Verstappen smashes Schumacher’s record.

Max Verstappen has been spectacular this season and has achieved total dominance.
With the victory he achieved at the Mexican Grand Prix, he goes down in history as the driver with the most victories in F1.

Schumacher and Vettel were tied on 13 wins, but the Red Bull driver’s latest feat puts him at the top of the list with 14 wins.

Although for some, Verstappen’s record cannot be compared to those achieved by Schumacher and Vettel, since this F1 season is much longer, which gives the Dutchman more possibilities to accumulate more victories.

Michael Schumacher managed to finish the 2004 season with 13 victories in 18 Grand Prix. Which makes a difference since there has not always been the same Grand Prix in the season. This year the calendar is very extensive, with 22 races in total.

In terms of winning percentage, Verstappen is still below Schumacher, as the German has 72.22%, while Max is at 70%. If he manages to get 16 wins this season, he could surpass the Ferrari legend’s winning percentage.

With two Grands Prix remaining in this Formula 1 calendar, Verstappen has said he wants to go for more and will be looking to close the season by breaking all possible records to establish himself as one of the legends of the sport.

Ferrari will try to hold on.

Ferrari and Mercedes Benz are both vying for second place in the constructors’ championship with just two GPs to go. Ferrari has had a strong season, but Mercedes has been closing the gap in recent races. The fight for second place is sure to be intense in the final two races of the season.

In the Mexican GP, Lewis Hamilton managed to sneak onto the podium, and the team, in general showed a great pace.

For the Ferrari driver Carlos Sainz there is nothing to worry about “I think we are the ones who have lost. It was seen in Austin that on a normal circuit, we are still there. Surely not at the level of Red Bull, far from it, but Mercedes going to Brazil and Abu Dhabi doesn’t worry us that much,” Sainz said.

The Mexican GP was Ferrari’s worst race all season, with Carlos Sainz fifth, 58 seconds behind, and Charles Leclerc sixth, 1:08 behind the winner, Max Verstappen.

Mattia Binotto said after the race, “Right now, we don’t have many explanations. We have fought since qualifying, and in the race, it has been hard and difficult, and all of that has to be analyzed. This is not the result we wanted to see.

But these races will help us to understand the limits and understand where to focus for the next season”, says Binotto and added.

“The feeling is that we didn’t read the race well. We struggled with the power unit all weekend, but we had problems with traction and balance. The drivers were struggling to get the car through the corners. At the moment, we do not have definitive answers, and we believe that there is more than one problem,” he says without giving it too much importance.

Binotto even criticized some of Mercedes’ decisions during the race as a tactic to divert attention.

“Mercedes maybe lost (yesterday) and also in the previous one by not choosing the right tires. So I think it’s not just us making different decisions or making mistakes. We saw that there wasn’t a lot of degradation on the soft or enough to make one stop from soft to medium, and we did it”.

Ferrari is in second place in the constructors’ championship with 487, while Mercedes AMG is third with 447 points.

Forty points separate the two parties, but there are still 103 points up for grabs in the Constructors’ Championship. Ferrari has to take care if it wants to secure its position, as Mercedes has shown great improvements in performance.

With two races to go, it’s sure to be a thrilling finish to an already exciting season. Who will be the winner? Place your bet at VIP Sportsbook and enjoy this formula 1 calendar.
